Here are the Global Mission Trips we are taking in 2011:

MFuge @ Greenville, SC

You and your students will get to invest your time and energy into a variety of mission projects (choose between Children’s Ministry, Games & Rec, Social Ministry, Creative Ministry or Painting, Construction, Yardwork). During the day your students will be challenged and stretched as individuals; in the evenings, you’ll have an opportunity to build group unity over dinner, worship, fellowships and Church Group Devotions.

The cost includes all food, transportation, and lodging.

YWAM London
August 18-28
Cost: $1600
Leader: Curtis Williams

Rich teaching and testimony, fervent intercession & worship, practical evangelism and prophetic acts using the arts…

Calling the Church to come together and reach out to the hundreds, thousands of people coming to this one place at this time.

The BONES mission camp gives you the opportunity to join with others in preparing to make an impact at the Notting Hill Carnival. Specifically designed to equip you with tools, ignite you with passion and love for God and people and give you an opportunity to reach out and be part of transforming lives.

Throughout the 10 days before the Carnival there will be dedicated times of teaching, intercession, worship, evangelism and prophetic acts using the arts all in preparation for the 2 final days of Carnival where there will be different opportunities to serve and volunteer during the Carnival itself.

We use the facilities of Notting Hill Community Church and Westbourne Grove Church. The former is the church where the majority of our YWAM base attends on a Sunday and the latter we work with throughout the year, aiding them in any community projects they need.

We have a great need for musicians, for our worship times, for on the street evangelism and in the carnival itself. Music attracts a lot of attention which is unfortunately not something we’ve been able to utilize to the fullest due to a lack of musicians so we would find many ways for those in your group to be useful.

The cost covers all the food, showers and the accommodations (sleeping bags or air mattress and bedding are required as we will be on church floors).

YWAM Dominican Republic

The construction of the home takes 4 days. It is half cinder block and half wood structure. We will also install furniture and appliances. YWAM uses the Homes of Hope primarily for an in road into a new community. Our team will be one of the first to build a Home of Hope in the Dominican Republic.

Thailand
July 2011
Focus: Orphan Care, Evangelism
Leaders: Curtis Williams
Dates: Mid to Late July
Cost: $2800

The team will join Tess and Tyson Bush as they minister at the Hope House Children’s home – play sports, games, teach, and share the Bible. We also travel to remote mountain tribal villages to pray for the sick and share the Gospel.

Hope House Children’s Home is located in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Most of the kids who come to Hope House Children’s Home were living below the poverty line in remote villages in the highlands of Thailand. They are either abandoned or neglected and have no access to an education. These young children in Thailand are at risk of being sold into prostitution or child labor. Hope House rescues these children from this sad fate by providing them with a place that they can call home. Currently Hope House Children’s Home educates, feeds and clothes 45 destitute children from the surrounding mountain areas.

Tourist days may include going to an elephant camp, tiger camp, temple prayer walk, handicraft villages, and visiting the mall.

The cost includes airfare, food, lodging and transportation.

CrosStone explores the persecuted Church in China

January 27, 2009

Come and join us this week at CrosStone as we explore the persecuted Church in China through an “all-play” event.  We are excited about Wednesday’s CrosStone meeting.  Through food, fellowship, family, and fearsome secret police, we will learn what it feels like to have to sneak around to worship God.

So often, we hear about the persecution that our brothers and sisters in Christ experience on an everyday basis, but rarely do we concieve of what it would be like for us to suffer the same hardship.  Being able to stand boldly and publically proclaim faith in Christ is a luxury that we take for granted.   Our prayer is that what we experience at CrosStone this week will motivate us to pray fervently for those who are persecuted and to thank God daily for our liberty.

Please invite your friends to join us on Wednesday, January 28 at 7:00 in the CrosStone room

SEE YOU THERE!!!!!!!

Mr. Jeff

Do You Want POWER and STRENGTH?

October 19, 2008

Hey Guys,

Just a quick thought on a scripture I read today.  Psalms 68:35.  The God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God

Whatever your circumstance – illness, fear, peer pressure, overwhelming amounts of homework, lack of money, lack of acceptance, or whatever it may be- God will give you power and strength to meet the challenge.  That is not a wish, it is a fact, because the Bible said so.

This verse also gives us our response to receiving His power and strength – PRAISE BE TO GOD!!!!

You know, understanding that God will give us the power and strength we need, may actually cause us to thank God for the challenges we face.  What do you think?

HOPE

I’ll see you tonight ……. HOPEFULLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A “Wow” Night at CrosStones!

September 11, 2008

What an awesome meeting of CrosStones last night!  For those of you who weren’t able to be with us, you truly missed a great evening.  After a powerful time of worship, God showed Himself to be the God who cares deeply for individuals.  Noah Walls, who came to CrosStones as a result of our skate park ministry, gave a moving tesimony of God’s healing power.  [Noah's doctors had, a week ago, diagnosed a dangerous heart condition which would severely limit Noah's activities--no running, jumping, skateboarding, football (basically, no physical activity of any kind).  The doctors' talked of a possible heart transplant as one of the remedies for his condition.  Noah's response to his mother after this diagnosis was, "Mom, I have to go to church."  He came on September 3rd, and both Propel and CrosStones groups prayed for him.]  This week, Noah had another test done, and the doctor declared his heart to be perfectly normal!!!!    Praise God for His immediate healing of Noah’s heart!!!!!  Noah will be attending our retreat at Camp Silver Beach this weekend and, much to his delight, participating in ALL of our physical activities.  What an encouragement to our family of the power of prayer!

As if all of this was not enough, the evening ended with a great message from Mr. Roy, spoken with a fire and passion we have never seen in Mr. Roy!  And Jane Dare gave a wonderful testimony of how God has used her involvement with CrosStones to greatly enrich her life.  God is moving at CrosStones, in the kids as well as the adults–I can’t wait to see what He has in store for us this weekend at the retreat!

CrosStone Retreat Postponed until Sept.12-14

September 4, 2008

Hi everyone,

We are having to postpone the Jr. High Retreat until next weekend, Sept. 12-14.  The forecasted inclimate weather is causing us to make this move.  We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.  We are looking forward to the time when we can be on retreat together.
