(not) Lost – update

June 9, 2009

The (not) Lost college aged small group is still meeting through the Summer. The new meeting time is every Wednesday @ 8 pm. Since “Lost” had their season finale last month, they are watching ABC’s Wipeout. Human cannonballs! Human pinballs! Crashes, smashes and mud splashes! Twenty-four thrill-seekers will compete in the world’s largest extreme obstacle course designed to provide the most spills, face plants and wipeouts ever seen on television.

It’s the same great fellowship happening at the Perez’s home. If you would like to join the group, please contact Matt Perez at caprice24@live.com.

Small Group Leaders Meeting

August 25, 2008

It is that time of year!  We will be launching our Small Groups to the congregation over two Sundays, September 7th and 14th.   Our church had an amazing 80% of adults and youth involved in small groups.  A special “thank you” goes to each of you who provided a safe and healthy environment to build community where relationship with God and one another flourished.  You are vital to Greenbrier Church and an important part of our Leadership Team.

On Wednesday, August 27th at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall, we are having a Small Group Leaders Dinner. It is our time to both celebrate the past and discuss the upcoming small group season. I strongly encourage each Small Group Leader to be in attendance.  Please RSVP indicating whether you can or cannot make it by Friday, August 22nd.

Thank you for leading your group and caring for each member.   Each of you is doing an awesome work in the hearts of our Greenbrier Church family.  Thank you for your commitment!

Small Group @ Greenbrier

July 31, 2008

Small Groups are a place for our members and attendees to “plug in” to what God is doing in our midst. It says in Hebrews 10:25, “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

Life is filled with God’s blessings so why not share it with others. We want to be known in our community as a church that loves God and one another. A great place to do both is in Small Groups.

Life is about relationships. At Greenbrier, we want to do life together. Being part of a network of good friends can provide one with the strength, confidence, and joy needed to carry out our personal and corporate callings in Christ. We all need to be in relationship and fellowship with God and each other. Don’t waste another moment.

Local PEACE

This past weekend we visited the mobile home park and finished our work to the community center. A big thank you to those who reached beyond water and walls to help finish this project.
