Small Group Leaders Resource List
September 19, 2010
Small Group Leaders:
Thank you for leading our families @ Greenbrier into a deeper relationship with God and one another. We had a tremendous response to Small Groups launch in early September. It is amazing to see God bring us to a place where we truly do life together.
I wanted to share with you several resources I have found useful over the years concerning small groups. If you have websites that you regularly use and think it would benefit the other small group leaders, please email me so I can update our resource list. Here’s my “go to” resource list:
SmallGroups.com
SmallGroupMinistry.com
SmallGroups.net
All of these sites have article after article on leadership, training, equipping members, and small group growth. I also receive weekly emails from these sites. These resources are excellent and would be beneficial to your development as a leader.
Also, there are several authors such as Bill Donahue, Andy Stanley, Henry Cloud, and M. Scott Boren that have excellent insights on building small groups that build community and make an impact in our world at the same time. Check these authors out at your local Christian bookstore.
Other resources used for leading your groups through the Bible are:
BibleStudyTools.com
BibleGateway.com
CrossWalk.com
I hope these are helpful to you. Let me know if you have resources you would like to add.
Be blessed!
Pastor Curtis
Thumbs up for SG Leaders meeting
August 29, 2008
We had a wonderful meeting last Wednesday with small group leaders that will be leading this Fall. We discussed the elements of a small group and the responsibilities a small group leader takes on when leading our Greenbrier Church families. I am excited to launch our groups on September 7th and 14th.
Each Greenbrier member and attendee will have the opportunity to meet the various leaders on those two Sundays and choose which group they would like to join. At Greenbrier, small groups are the primary way to find community and really connect with one another. We “do life together” in small groups!
If you would like to lead a small group @ Greenbrier, please contact Pastor Curtis.
