God Speaks Through His Son
December 2, 2008
“In these last days He has spoken to us by his Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe.” Hebrews 1:2
The Gift: God is real and can be known through the revelation of His only Son, Jesus Christ. As the inheritor of all good and as the creator of the universe Jesus demonstrates to us the goodness and blessings of an ever-loving God. We hear God through the voice of His son.
Prayer: Thank you, Eternal Father, for revealing Your nature and character through the life of Your Son, Jesus. It is through Him that my days are filled with life and strengthened with hope. He is not only the creator of the vast universe but Jesus is also the incredible Savior of my own soul. Thank you for the gift of Your Son. Amen.
God Speaks Through Creation
December 1, 2008
“In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways.” Hebrews 1:1
The Gift: The eternal God is a Communicator. He has always revealed His loving nature and character through messages spoken by the prophets, and through the beauty and intricacies of nature. He has never been and never will be silent.
Prayer: Eternal Creator, teach me to still my mind and quiet my voice in the midst of my over-charged and hectic life. You are the Best Communicator and are always eager to speak to me in a still small voice, through the word of God, and through Your works of creation. Open my ears and eyes today to hear and see the goodness of Your gift to me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
