God Rewards the Faithful but Punishes Evil

Truth: God has established His world to operate on the principles and truths of His Word. When people are faithful to His word there is an eternal reward that begins to work in their lives. At the same time, wrong doers are responsible for their attitudes and actions and bring God’s judgment into their lives.
Scripture: “And if any merchants should survive, they will never return to their business. For what God has said applies to everyone – it will not be changed! Not one person whose life is twisted by sin will recover.” (Ezekiel 7:13 NLT)
Prayer: God you are Sovereign and the world is under Your control. I ask You to help me live my life according to Your word and to experience the abundance that comes with obedience. At the same time, grant me the boldness to explain the truth of Your Word and the evil consequences that will come to those who reject Your truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen. (Ezekiel 7:13NLT)
God Desires to Speak to those who will Listen

Truth: Each day presents an opportunity to hear from numerous opinions and multiple voices. God places the truth and blessing of His word into the lives of those who will listen and obey. But when people stop following His commands God withdraws His blessing in hopes that they will return to Him.
Scripture: “Jerusalem’s gates have fallen to the ground; He destroyed and smashed the bars of the gates. Her king and her princes are among the nations. The teaching of the Lord has stopped, and the prophets do not have visions from the Lord.” (Lamentations 2:9 NCV)
Prayer: Ever-truthful God. Today I come to You with ears ready to hear. Help my heart to be filled with Your truth and to guide my mind to work and walk according to Your word. I know that You protect and guide those who are walking in Your path and I choose to be known as one who will listen and obey. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God’s Word Brings Clarity

Truth: Everything good gift that comes from God lines up with the standard, the truth of His word. Since God can not lie and will not violate what He has decreed, His words are safe, trustworthy and always bring clarity.
Scripture: “This is what the Lord All-Powerful says: ‘Don’t pay attention to what the prophets are saying to you. They fill you with false hopes. They talk about visions that come from their own minds. What they say does not come from My mouth.’” (Jeremiah 23:16 NCV)
Prayer: Loving and Gracious Father, how grateful I am today that You always bring clarity and purpose to the confusion that swirls around me. Help me today to base what I do and to evaluate what I hear on the never-changing truths of Your word. They are more valuable than life itself. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God Always Reveals the Truth

Truth: There are many voices in our culture shouting out attention getting falsehoods and manipulating the hearts of the broken. Their lies lead to despair and destruction but God always reveals a hope that is based on His truth.
Scripture: “Then the Lord said to me, “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them. I have not even spoken to them. Everything they tell you about their visions or secret knowledge is a lie. They pretend to bring you messages from other gods. They try to get you to believe their own mistaken ideas.” (Jeremiah 14:14 NCV)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, You are the author of truth and in You there are no lies and there are no words that wound or manipulate. Grant me discernment today, that I might be filled with the nourishment of Your word and grow in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God Uses Others to Reveal His Best for You

Truth: God has a plan for your life that is revealed with the power of three persons: Himself, another person and you. Because He knows that directions can be lost, misinterpreted or forgotten He often expresses the roadmap for your journey in the context of relationships with others.
Scripture: “This is the vision Isaiah, son of Amoz, saw about what would happen to Judah and Jerusalem.” (Isaiah 1:1 NCV)
Prayer: Gracious and Merciful Heavenly Father. Thank you for promising to reveal Yourself and Your plans to me. I now understand that the fullest expression of Your revelation comes through the relationships that I have with others who are following You. Help me today to seek their wisdom and counsel and, together, find Your perfect peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God’s Word brings Blessings

Truth: The word of God is powerful, filled with truth and revelation. It speaks accurately about yesterday, truthfully about today and perceptively about tomorrow. God’s promises blessings to those who listen, who obey and who walk out His revelation.
Scripture: “Without prophetic vision people run wild, but blessed are those who follow [God's] teachings.” (Proverbs 29:18) GWT
Prayer: Heavenly Father, since You can see all things past, present and future, help me to turn my focus on You and to listen for Your insight and direction. I believe that when I follow the power of Your word that Your eternal blessings will come my way. Today I cling to the power of Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God’s Words Set the Course for Your Life

Truth: If you are in a place of confusion or despair you can take great hope in the reality that God speaks to those who worship Him. He desires to give you strength, courage and endurance. and He honors your love and allegiance to Him.
Scripture: “Once, in a vision, you spoke to those who worship you. You said, “I have given strength to a warrior; I have raised up a young man from my people.” (Psalms 89:19) NCV
Prayer: Gracious Heavenly Father, I know that You want to help me do well in life. You have more wisdom than I can understand, more love than I can grasp and more mercy than I deserve. Help me today to listen to the quiet thunder of your voice. May it provide direction for today and set the course for my tomorrow. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God Creates and Records History

Truth: History is not a result of random elements in the universe colliding together by accident. Our world is based on the design of a Creator who charts the course of humankind and records its deeds so that we can learn from Him and from one another.
Scripture: “Hezekiah’s love for God and the other things he did as king are written in the vision of the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz. This is in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.” (2 Chron. 32:32)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I trust You. You were before everything began because You created it and You are still creating. I trust You today to speak into my life and shape my history for your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God is a Vision Giving God

Truth: God wants to be involved in the everyday activities of your life. He has dreams, and goals for you; visions that will help you chart the course of your life. Choose to spend time with God today away from the noise of life. You will be refreshed!

God Wants to Speak

Truth: The words of God have great power to create, comfort, direct the present and shape the future. The good news is that God is by nature good and not evil. He wants to bless you, to speak good things into your life and reveal His heart and nature to you. Listen and discover Him.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I will still my heart and quiet my mind today so that You can fill it with Your goodness and revelation. I know that You want to reveal Your plans to those who will listen and desire to their path straight. Help me to listen and obey. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
