Howdy, kids!
It’s time for the annual Greenbrier Church Harvest Festival! Mosey on down to Greenbrier Church on Sunday, October 31st from 6 pm – 8 pm. If you are in 5th grade or younger, we have some awesome fun planned for you! Hay Rides, Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Sno-Kones, Outdoor Bounce Houses and Inflatables, Indoor Games and candy galore!! We’ll have balls knocking over milk bottles, darts popping balloons, ducks in the duck pond and kids having a blast all over the place! And did I mention the candy? LOTS OF IT!
Tell your parents that you just HAVE to come by! We look forward to seeing you there! Stop by and check us out!
August 22nd is MOVE UP SUNDAY in PowerKids!

Hey Greenbrier PowerKids and Parents!
Don’t forget that this Sunday is “move up” Sunday! If this coming school year you are entering the 1st, 3rd or 4th grade…you will be moving to a new classroom/small group on Sunday! If you are 4 or entering Kindergarten, 2nd or 5th grade, be ready to possibly meet some new friends in your same room! We’ll have signs up in the PowerKids hallway so being looking for your age/grade! That’s this Sunday at the 9:00 children’s service.
Please let me know if there are any questions or concerns. We’re looking forward to a fabulous 2010-11 school year learning about our awesome God and how we can apply His Word to our lives today!

The time of Joseph will come alive July 25th through 28th at Greenbrier Church! We are planning an incredible journey back through Bible times as we lead the kids through the faith filled life of Joseph. “Joseph’s Journey from Prison to Palace” will begin on Sunday, July 25th at 5:00 pm and continue Monday July 26th through Wednesday July 28th at 6:00 pm. This summer, we’re going to take a journey back to ancient Egypt…without leaving the neighborhood! Experience Joseph’s incredible faith journey from prison to palace—with Joseph himself! Perhaps you would like to try your hand at the Hieroglyphic Artist’s Shop or the Food Shop where your patrons will sample the latest in fine Egyptian cuisine. Hey Kids! I hope you have been out enjoying all this snow! What a special treat! I wanted to make sure you tell your parents that you need to come to our special Wednesday edition of PowerKids tomorrow night, February 3rd. We will be wrapping up the virtue of DISCIPLINE and Mr. Christian is planning a great story time for you! He has been training extra hard for this one!
Tomorrow evening at 7:00, come to the PowerKids rooms just like you would on a Sunday morning. We’ll all be there to greet you and get you prepared for a really awesome time! See you tomorrow night!

Greenbrier Church Children’s Ministry Meeting

Don’t forget the important meeting we have coming up this Saturday, October 10, at 11:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. If you lead a Small Group for PowerKids Church on Sunday, this meeting is for you! If you cuddle one of our precious babies or toddlers at either service on Sunday, this meeting is for you! PowerKids are Moving Up!

This Sunday, August 23rd, is MOVE UP SUNDAY for the PowerKids at Greenbrier Church! What that means is that our awesome kids will be moving up in their small groups at the 9:00 AM PowerKids church to match the grade level they will be entering this school year!
If you have a child who is 4 years old or entering Kindergarten this fall, they will be staying in their current small group room.
If you have a child entering 1st grade, they will be MOVING UP to the 1st and 2nd Grade Room.
If you have a child entering 2nd grade, they will stay in their current small group room with a new status as “the older kids!”
If you have a child entering 3rd grade, they will be MOVING UP to a new small group in the 3rd Grade Room.
If you have a child entering the 4th or 5th grade, they will be MOVING UP to a new small group in the 4th and 5th Grade Room.
We will have signs posted through out the PowerKids wing this Sunday to assist you in finding the right room! If you have questions, look for an adult wearing a yellow POWERKIDS shirt. We’ll be glad to assist!
We are looking forward to a year packed with fun and excitement as we learn more about the incredible Power of God! It’s available to our kids right here and now…not just when they get older…and it’s a privilege to help unveil this truth to this generation. And I almost forgot to mention…we have a blast in the process!

Wanted: Ancient Rome Decorating Items!

We’re going to prove that you CAN build Rome in a day…or two…but we would love to have your baskets (lots of them!), colorful blankets and tapestries, painted earthenware, marble statues and columns to add the finishing touches! If you have any of these items, and wouldn’t mind having them be a part of this awesome Bible Times setting, please bring them to the church where we will happily place identification tags on them and then use them to help transform our church into the incredible city of Rome!
