God Has Created You for a Purpose
August 31, 2010
Truth: God has uniquely and individually shaped you with a purpose that will showcase His glory to the nations of the earth. Far from having a destiny that temporarily satisfies your own desires, God’s plan for you brings total fulfillment by connecting you in to His broader plan.
Scripture: Hear today God’s words spoken over His servant Moses: “But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” (Exodus 9:16)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Teach me today, as I read Your word that the reason I exist, the purpose for my life is much grander than the fleeting contentment of success or being dependent on the affirmation of others. Help me to understand that Your master plan for my life is to show Your power and to proclaim the goodness of Your name throughout the earth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God’s Plans Are Good
August 30, 2010
Truth: No matter what circumstance you find yourself in, it has not escaped the hand or the plan of Almighty God. He is for You and promises to work out your life for the good. The absolute best way to discover His plan is to study God’s word and apply it to your life.
Scripture: Remember the words of Joseph as he spoke to his brothers: “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” Gen 50:20
Prayer: Gracious Father, Thank You for accomplishing good things through my life. Even though others might intend harm for me, You have promised it for good. Thank You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God Can Make You Brand New
August 29, 2010
Truth: Each of us have made decisions that we regret; said things that we wish we could take back; or done things that we wish could be erased from our life’s record. The amazing truth of God’s word is that it reveals a Creator God who knows you inside and out. He knows all of your shortcomings, mistakes, and problems and chooses to make a way for you to find forgiveness, cleansing and healing. He is for your good.
Scripture: “Behold I make all things new.” Revelation 21:5
Prayer: God, Today my prayer is simple. Take my life and cleanse it, make it brand new and restore hope in me through the power of Your Son Jesus Christ my Savior. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God Loves You
August 28, 2010
Truth: There is One whose love for you has never waivered and whose commitment to you is eternal. He is the One True God and He is filled with forgiveness for every mistake and wrongdoing you have ever done. God is love and He loves you. No matter where you have been, what you have done or where you are headed God loves you.
Scripture: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Today I make the commitment to follow You with my whole heart, mind, soul and strength. I believe in Your Son, Jesus and trust Him to be my Savior – both for today, tomorrow and for eternity. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God is the Victor
August 27, 2010
Truth: From the beginning of time til its’ end there has been one consistent drama unfolding on the earth. The key character is God and it is His story. We know that He is merciful, kind, loving and filled with abundant goodness for all who choose to follow Him. God has been, is, and will be victorious over every counterfeit power and the strongest forces of evil. He is Victory.
Following God’s Word will help you find success and fruitful in every aspect of your life. Listen to the words of Sir Matthew Hale (1609 – 1676), Lord Chief Justice of England: “ The Bible is the only source of all Christian truth: the only rule for the Christian life; the only book that unfolds to us the realities of eternity.”
Scripture: Our Scripture reading today is Revelation 18 – 22 and the key verse is: “The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.” Revelation 22:21
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Thank You for being victorious over every dark thought and evil intent that would work to damage my heart and darken my mind. Today I turn to You and ask that You would strengthen me to find hope and victory in the power of Your word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God Wants the Best For You
August 26, 2010
Truth: God is good and He is for you. Contrary to what you may have heard from others in school, at work or on TV God is not rude, unkind or merciless. In fact, His love for you is everlasting and He orchestrated the very best plans for your present and your future. He wants nothing more than for you to walk with Him.
Scripture: Our Scripture reading today is Jude – Revelation 17 and the key verse is: “But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.” Jude 1:20
Prayer: Eternal and Loving God, How I thank You today for knowing and planning out what is best for me. You know my skills, talents, weaknesses, and wounds and You have planned out for me a purpose that is filled with joy and fulfillment. Teach me today, through the power of Your word, to build myself up through the meditation of Your word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God Wants You
August 25, 2010
Truth: God is not sitting in a distant throne room that is unapproachable and unreachable. He is here, alive and ready to meet You. He is patient, kind and desires that no one should perish. God wants to fulfill His promises on the earth through You.
Seek the Lord today, and discover the richness of His word. Herbert Hoover, former United States President said this: “There is no other book so various as the Bible, nor one so full of concentrated wisdom. Whether it be law, business, morals, etc…. He who seeks guidance… may look inside its covers and find illumination.”
Scripture: Our Scripture reading today is James 3 – 3 John and the key verse is: “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Thank You for being patient with me, for showing Your love and providing to me the richness of His word. Help me to reconcile my own heart with Your deep love and then to share Your goodness with others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God Looks at the Big Picture
August 24, 2010
Truth: Many people separate their religion from their daily life. But, God doesn’t separate what you believe with what you do. To Him, they are inseparable. In fact, He measures who you are by what you do AND say. The best way forward in life is to read God’s word, believe what it says and do it!
Paul Little says this: “”Has it ever struck you that the vast majority of the will of God for your life has already been revealed in the Bible? That is a crucial thing to grasp.”
Scripture: Our Scripture reading today is Hebrews 1 – James 2 and the key verse is: “But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.” James 2:18
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Help me to follow You today. I know that You have good things in store for me when I follow You. As I read Your word and work to apply it in my life today, I ask that You give me strength to obey You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
