God Deserves Praise

Truth:  Everything that lives is fueled by energy.  People need calories, cars require gasoline, lights need electricity and God’s creation is fueled by praise.  Far from being an egocentric demand, God’s call for worship and praise is the single act that puts life back into proper perspective and creates order in our complex world.

Scripture:  Our Scripture reading today is Psalms 89-107 and the key verse is: “Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.  Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.” Psalm 100:1-2

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, You deserve the praise and honor of my heart.  When I look at the complexity of the human body, the order of the universe or the tenderness of my own heart I am amazed at Your handiwork.  Help me to remember to give You the honor that is due to You today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
