Jesus Sets Us Free From Sin

Truth:  The old way of earning points toward salvation and working hard to fill your life with good deeds could never completely free you from sin. But the new way has the power to eliminate the issues, pains, heartache and wrongdoing that fills your past and your present.

Scripture: “For this reason Christ brings a new agreement from God to his people. Those who are called by God can now receive the blessings he has promised, blessings that will last forever. They can have those things because Christ died so that the people who lived under the first agreement could be set free from sin.” Hebrews 9:15 (NCV)

Prayer:  Eternal Father, How grateful I am today that You have made a way for me to be free from sin!  Today I confess my sins to you – all of them – knowing that Your love and forgiveness made available through Jesus will set me free from its evil bonds.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
