God’s Word is Always On Time

Truth:  God knows the past, what is happening right now and what is to be.  You can trust that His words for you will come to pass at just the right time.  Be sure that what have heard is true to His word and then do not grow weary or give up hope. God is never late and His words will come true!

Scripture:  “For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won’t delay.” (Habakkuk 2:3 HNV)

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, I thank You for speaking truth and direction into my life through the power of Your word and the gentle guidance of those who follow You.  Teach me to be patient today, unwavering in courage and filled with strength while I wait in hope for Your truth to be revealed.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God Speaks so that You can Understand

Truth: God is a revealing, communicating God.  He wants you to know Him, to understand His ways and to follow Him.  He does not hide His truth or make Himself difficult to find.  When the Good News comes to you, share it completely, simply and frequently with others.  In that God is pleased.

Scripture:  “The Lord answered me: ‘Write down the vision; write it clearly on clay tablets so whoever reads it can run to tell others.’” (Habakkuk 2:2 NCV)

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, I need to hear from You today. In fact I am desperate to know You and Your ways. Help me to spend my best time listening, reading and meditating on Your truth so that I can effectively and simply share it with others.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God has a Message for You

Truth:  God’s love for you compels Him to share His best with you. He knows that left on your own mistakes will be made and that you will be lost.  You can rest in the truth that God has a revelation of His love and His Kingdom for you today. Search for it and find Him!

Scripture:  “This is a revelation from the Lord about Ninevah. This book contains the vision of Nahum of Elkosh.” (Nahum 1:1 GNT)

Prayer:  Eternal God, You are the revealer of all truth and wisdom. I know that in times past You have spoken clearly to people providing for them a path to life and eternity with You.   You are still speaking through Your word and through those who serve You.  I will listen today for your revelation and direction. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God always Speaks the Truth

Truth: What happens to people who speak falsehoods in order to make themselves larger than life?  God shuts them off.  Fortunately God’s way is consistently evident.  It always involves exalting God and humbling yourself by confessing wrongdoing, receiving forgiveness and sharing God’s great love with others.

Scripture:  “So it will become like night for them, without visions. It will become dark for them, without any way to tell the future. The sun is about to set for the prophets; their day will become dark.” (Micah 3:6 NCV)

Prayer:  Eternal Father of Light and Truth, I need Your help today to keep me from listening and following those who want promote themselves instead of You.  Help me to humble myself toward You, to be honest about my shortcoming and openly receive Your love.

God Speaks through His Spirit

Truth:  Just as Jesus announced that the “Spirit of the Lord” was upon Him to announce the Good News so today many claim to have special words or insight from the Lord.  You can know if their words are true with a simple test. Does the message that you hear today line up with the life and character of Jesus and His Eternal Word?  If so, let it draw you closer to God!

Scripture: ”This is the vision of Obadiah. We have heard a message from the Lord.” (Obadiah 1:1 NCV)

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, In You, and You alone, can I find truth and direction for my life.  Help me today to measure all that I hear by the truth of who You are and the power of Your word.  Change me to be conformed closer to the image of Your son so that I can make You known in the earth.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God Teaches through His Word

Truth:  God’s word is truth to live by.  It is like a lamp to our feet, a light to our path.  God’s purposes for your life are revealed in His promises and are confirmed by God’s desire to see them fulfilled in your life.  Everyday God has already chosen wisdom for you to find in His word.

Scripture:  “I spoke to the prophets and gave them many visions; through them, I taught my lessons to you.” (Hosea 12:10 NCV)

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, Today I commit to study and apply the truths of Your holy word.  I will consume them like the best food.  Help me God to discern and filter the voices that surround me by the time-tested truths of Your word.  I will look to You and to the truth of Your word to be the guide for my words, my actions and the thoughts of my heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God is in Charge

Truth:  When the END comes, God will still be in charge.  Many people believe that government leaders, or economic forces shape the future, but they are misled.  God is firmly in charge of the world He created and when people to rise against His ways, they will never prevail.

Scripture: “In those times many shall rise against the king of the south, and the violent among your own people shall lift themselves up in order to fulfill the vision, but they shall fail.” (Daniel 11:14 ESV)

Prayer:  Eternal God, Your strength will never weaken.  Today I turn to You to help me cling to You and not to the voices or forces of this world. I ask for Your direction, guidance and deliverance from all evil as I put my complete trust in You.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God Knows the Future

Truth: God created everything and that includes the future.  Since He charts the course of man’s steps and has given every person a free will to choose righteousness or evil, the consequences and future of humankind have been set.  The most important decision you can make today is to be on His side.

Scripture: “Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people, because the vision is about a time in the future.” (Daniel 10:14 NCV)

Prayer:  God, I am grateful today that You hold the future in Your hands. You are trustworthy and filled with mercy for those who turn toward You.  Today I choose again to call upon You for salvation and the forgiveness of sins.  Redeem me through the precious sacrifice of Your Son who died for me.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God Puts an End to Evil

Truth: God is Good. Scripture teaches us that every good and perfect gift comes from Him.  He is eternally and forever good.  Even better God is more powerful than eviil and is at work in your life, in the world and in the future to rid the world once and for all of spiritual bondage and darkness.  Trust Him for good.

Scripture: “God has ordered four hundred ninety years for your people and your holy city for these reasons: to stop people from turning against God; to put an end to sin; to take away evil; to bring in goodness that continues forever; to bring about the vision and prophecy; and to appoint a most holy place.” (Daniel 9:24)

Prayer:  Good and Merciful God, I know that now, and at the end of time, You are about destroying the work of evil.  Help me today to depend on You to and to watch for Your hand to be at work in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
