Truth: God has made you to be a dynamic and valuable part of a larger whole that the Bible describes as the Body of Christ. When you use your abilities and gifts to serve others then the grace of God reaches its fullest potential.
Scripture: “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” (I Peter 4:10)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Thank You for creating me to be a dynamic part of Your plan. I commit today to use the gifts and skills that You have given me to serve others and not to further my own plans and ambitions. In this way I know that you will be glorified. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Have Compassion on One Another
February 27, 2010
Truth: God’s best for you comes when you begin to see other’s journey with sympathetic love and understanding. You can only see where people are today, not where they have been, or even where they are going! God promises that your relationships will grow in peace and harmony when you lead with compassion and humility.
Scripture: “Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble.” (I Peter 3:8)
Prayer: Eternal Father, I am so grateful that You show compassion and love toward me. Help me today to not see myself greater than I should and to show Your love and understanding toward others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Pray for One Another
February 26, 2010
Truth: God has granted you the amazing privilege of access to His throne room. Through the saving work of Jesus Christ, when you become transparent about your own shortcomings God is ready to hear your requests for those near you to be healed. Speak to Him today about the needs of those you hold dear.
Scripture: “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” (James 5:16)
Prayer: Gracious Father, I come to You today because of the work of Your son Jesus Christ. I ask You to forgive me for my own shortcomings and work Your healing power in the lives of those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Don’t Grumble against One Another
February 25, 2010
Truth: God’s best way to grow in relationship with others is to stay positive, think the best and to stop grumbling. When you treat others like you would desire to be treated the negative thoughts that you hold against them will fade away. Let God be the judge and you be the encourager!
Scripture: “Don’t grumble against each other, brothers, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door.” (James 5:9)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, You alone are the righteous Judge and know all the factors involved in the life of those around me. Help me to be to an encouragement and not give in to grumbling about my circumstances or what I perceive to be the short-comings of others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Speak Good of One Another
February 24, 2010
Truth: God alone has the perspective and power to judge others. He is righteous and holy, but we are broken and see only in part. It is His responsibility to pass judgment, and our duty to speak well of one another and to honor God’s word.
Scripture: “Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him, speaks against the law and judges it.” (James 4:11)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I know that the words I speak can build others up or hurt them emotionally. Help me today to focus on speaking well of others and not judge or slander them with my words. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Be With One Another
February 23, 2010
Truth: God is honored when you come together in times of worship and edification. He knows that the encouragement you will receive and the truth and blessings you share will strengthen you for the days ahead.
Scripture: “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:25)
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I know that you desire to build in me a habit of meeting together with other believers to worship You, grow in Your word and to bless one another. Help me to take steps today to commit to my local church and begin to give back in love and service to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Understand One Another
February 22, 2010
Truth: God wants you to understand those around you so that you can support and encourage them to live a life of love and good deeds. Seeing those around you as your priority is the first step you can take toward being a conduit of God’s grace.
Scripture: “And let us [understand] how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.” (Hebrews 10:24)
Prayer: Gracious Heavenly Father, You have designed me with an ability to perceive the issues and needs around me. Help me today to take the time to understand the needs of others so that my focus shifts from meeting my needs to extending your gifts of grace and love toward others.
