Jesus Has Compassion

Truth: Doing the right thing is God’s way. Even when the results could be detrimental, hurt or cause sorrow God is never evil and never succumbs to the temptation to do wrong. He is righteousness and is filled with compassion.
Scripture: “When Jesus’ followers saw [that He was going to be betrayed], they said, ‘Lord shall we strike with our swords?’ And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear. But Jesus answered, ‘No more of this!’ And He touched the man’s ear and healed him.” (Luke 22:47-51)
Prayer: Eternal Father, Today I admit that my instincts are not right. I often want to repay evil for evil and to make sure that my own reputation is defended. Help me to hear Your words, ‘No more of this!’ and to be filled with compassion. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
