Jesus Has Compassion
November 30, 2009
Truth: Doing the right thing is God’s way. Even when the results could be detrimental, hurt or cause sorrow God is never evil and never succumbs to the temptation to do wrong. He is righteousness and is filled with compassion.
Scripture: “When Jesus’ followers saw [that He was going to be betrayed], they said, ‘Lord shall we strike with our swords?’ And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear. But Jesus answered, ‘No more of this!’ And He touched the man’s ear and healed him.” (Luke 22:47-51)
Prayer: Eternal Father, Today I admit that my instincts are not right. I often want to repay evil for evil and to make sure that my own reputation is defended. Help me to hear Your words, ‘No more of this!’ and to be filled with compassion. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Jesus Shows Mercy
November 29, 2009
Truth: God created the world beautiful and good. But the sinful choices of humankind have filled it with self-focused endeavors, evil perpetrators, sickness, disease, tragedy, pain and brokenness. The reason God sent His only Son to earth was to destroy the works of evil (John 3:8) and to demonstrate His mercy toward you!
Scripture: When blind Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by, “he began to shout, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me! ‘What do you want me to do for you?’ Jesus asked him. The blind man said, ‘Rabbi, I want to see.’ ‘Go,’ said Jesus, ‘your faith has healed you.’” (Mark 10:46-52)
Prayer: Jesus, I am grateful today for Your never-ending mercy. Like the blind man on the side of the road I am calling out for You to heal me and make me see. Help me to point my faith toward You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Jesus has all Power
November 28, 2009
Truth: When darkness, discouragement or even the finality of death overwhelms you can take comfort and gain confidence in Jesus. He has the power over death, hell, the grave, sin, and every malady. He is God and He is committed to rescue those who put their trust in Him.
Scripture: “So the sisters sent word to Jesus, ‘Lord, the one You love is sick.’ When He heard this, Jesus said, ‘This sickness will not end in death. It is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” (John 11:1-44)
Prayer: Omnipotent and Eternal Father, You are ever powerful and not even death can trap you. Today I cling to Your life-giving Spirit and ask that You would position me to give you glory. Speak to every dead part in my being and bring it to life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Jesus Demands Obedience
November 27, 2009
Truth: Sometimes our predicaments and difficulties are caused because we live in a broken world. Other times we suffer because of evil or as a result of unwise decisions. Jesus has the power to heal and restore, and He demands complete obedience.
Scripture: “As he was going to a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance and called out in a loud voice, ‘Jesus, Master, have pity on us.’ When He saw them, He said, ‘Go show yourselves to the priests.’ And as they went, they were healed.” (Luke 17:11-19)
Prayer: Eternal and Gracious Father, Today I come to You know that You are all powerful and able to heal. Help my response to You to remain faithful and obedient so that I will not hinder Your work in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Jesus Sees You as His Priority
November 26, 2009
Truth: There are many expectations and rules that others place on us. Even if their original intent was life-giving, many times the rules become the focus rather than the guide and they become a hindrance to our healing.
Scripture: “There was a man suffering from dropsy. Jesus asked the Pharisees and experts in the law, ‘Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?’ But they remained silent. So taking hold of the man, He healed him” (Luke 14:1-6)
Prayer: Jesus, today I come to You knowing that I have allowed very well intentioned rules and traditions to be my focus. Help me to realize that You are my Source for healing, hope and restoration. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Jesus has the Power
November 25, 2009
Truth: The tragedies of life can bring discouragement, and evil and her tormenting spirits and can cripple someone’s life. But since Jesus has the authority in heaven and earth there is always hope. One simple word from Him can change your world!
Scripture: “Jesus was teaching in the synagogue and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for 18 years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. Jesus called her forward and said to her, ‘Woman you are set free from your infirmity.’ Then He put her hands on her and immediately she straightened up and praised God.” (Luke 10:10-13)
Prayer: Jesus, You alone can make me whole! You can set me free. It doesn’t matter how long I have suffered or how complex my issue is, You can transform me today, right now. I place my life in You and I trust You to heal me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Jesus has the Power
November 24, 2009
Truth: Jesus has the power over every circumstance, every situation, every influence, every issue and all the authority. There is nothing in heaven above or on earth below that is not under His feet or out of His reach.
Scripture: “The tax collectors came to Peter and asked, ‘Doesn’t your teacher pay the temple tax?’ Jesus said, ‘Go to the lake and through out your line. Take the first fish you catch, open its mouth and you will find a coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.’” (Matthew 17:24-27)
Prayer: Eternal God, You are the Creator and You have given Jesus, Your eternal Son power over every man-made structure, government and entity. Teach me to honor Him above else and to trust Him to meet my every need. In Jesus name, Amen.
Jesus Makes Everything Possible
November 23, 2009
Truth: When evil wreaks its havoc, tossing you and around and destroying everything in its path it is easy to lose hope and become discouraged. But Jesus makes all the difference. One word from Him will set you free from the grip of darkness.
Scripture: “Jesus asked the boy’s father, ‘How long has he been like this?’ ‘From childhood,’ he answered. The demon has often thrown him into the fire or water to kill him. But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us. ‘You deaf and mute spirit,’ He said, ‘I command you to come out of him and never enter him again.’” (Mark 9:14-29)
Prayer: Jesus, I come to You today in complete desperation. I do not have the ability to rescue myself, but I believe that you can deliver me from evil. I ask You to command evil to leave my being right now and to never return. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
