God Promises Favor
October 31, 2009
Truth: God knows what you are about to face today. He sees ahead of you and already knows which choice is wise, which decision is best and what will bring you joy and contentment. Even more, God promises a life of favor and blessing – an eternal closeness to Him – when you finish your race strong.
Scripture: “To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on His throne.” Rev. 3:21
Prayer: God, I am humbled by your incredible invitation. I commit to order my life today for an eternal reward. I want to join you on your throne so that I can be with You forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God is Waiting for an Invitation
October 30, 2009
Truth: God will never leave or forsake you. He is patience and even your rebellious behavior will not push him away. He stands today at the door of your heart waiting to come in and be with you in every aspect of your life.
Scripture: “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him and he with me.” Rev. 3:20
Prayer: Eternal Loving Father. You are amazing and ever kind. I would have given up long ago, but You are always faithful and await my invitation. Today I am saying “Yes” to You and opening the door of my heart for you to come in and be with me! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God Demands Your Respect
October 29, 2009
Truth: God has laid out for you a life that is filled with purpose, meaning and passion. He has good things in store for you – forever. But the only way for you to experience His best is through a radical obedience to His ways and His word. He is God and He demands Your respect.
Scripture: “To those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.” Rev. 3:19
Prayer: God, You are God and I am not. I repent of the wrongful attitudes and behavior that have guided my heart and actions. I will no longer stay on the throne of my own life, but will change the course of my life and follow You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God’s Ways are Clear when Your Heart is Pure.
October 28, 2009
Truth: Sometimes our view can be clouded by the circumstances around us, or dimmed by the struggles we face. God has designed a path for you to be rid of confusion and hopelessness. And it begins with purity of heart.
Scripture: “I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so that you can see.” Rev. 3:18
Prayer: Eternal and Wise God, Today I center my life on You. Rather than finding my bearings from the circumstances around me, I will instead look to You for direction, purpose and meaning. I know that even in trials You will be there, bringing clarity to my life and guiding me toward You. I trust in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God Promises His Presence in Times of Trial
October 27, 2009
Truth: God’s plan for you begins with His complete and total acceptance. But He loves you enough to use the trials of life to transform your brokenness into His likeness. His desire is to use every trial to strengthen You.
Scripture: “I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so that you can see.” Rev. 3:18
Prayer: Father in heaven, I admit to you today that my nature is to shy away from struggle, suffering and trials. But I see that you offer eternal treasures that can only be found in seasons of difficulty. I commit to not run from my trials to but to pursue your blessings in their midst. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
God Rewards the Faithful
October 26, 2009
Truth: God knows your all about your struggles and He commits not only to be with you in the midst of those difficulties, but to reward your faithfulness to Him. God will mark you with His love and stamp in you the strength of His name. There is no greater reward!
Scripture: “To Him that overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem.” Rev. 3:12
Prayer: God, Hear my prayer today. I am turning away from the momentary pleasures of this world to focus my life on an eternal reward with you. Even though I am weak I will cling to Your strength to see me through. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Tag You’re It” Shawna Ruane!
October 24, 2009
Last Monday, the Greenbrier Women’s Ministry was pleased to honor one of it’s own, Shawna Ruane, as the current “Tag You’re It” recipient! This honor goes to a woman in our church family that exemplifies the true heart of a servant. Shawna serves in our children’s ministry, weekly Tuesday outreach to a local community, and women’s ministry through leading a small group. Thank you Shawna for allowing us to learn through your kind spirit and friendship! We love you!
