God is the One who makes us Useful

Listen to Jacob as he cries out to God for a blessing: “The man said, ‘Let me go for it is dawn.’ But Jacob, panted, ‘I will not let you go unless you bless me.’  ‘What is your name?’ the man asked. He replied, ‘Jacob.’ ‘Your name will no longer be Jacob,’ the man told him. ‘It is now Israel, because you have struggled with both God and men and have won.’” (Genesis 32:28)

PRAYER:  Mighty God, You alone are strength and power. You hold the world in your hands and my life is but a breath to You. But You love me, and I want to end my own struggle today for the leadership of my life.  I surrender to You.  In Jesus’ name, Amen.
