Deliver us from Evil

There is a difference between right and wrong and good and evil. Many people today are timid to speak of the reality of an evil force, but Jesus even mentioned the force of evil in the Lord’s Prayer: “lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.”  The power of God can deliver you from the forces of the evil one!

“He called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.” (Matt 10:1)

Lord, you alone have the power, might and dominion to overcome evil.  I know that the reason you came to this work was to destroy the works of the evil one.  Today I receive the authority that you have granted to submit to you, resist the influence of evil and to drive evil away from my life in Jesus name, Amen.
