Wednesday Night PowerKids-Determination for God!!

It’s a brand new month and we have embarked upon a new virtue study in our action-packed, Wednesday night PowerKids group. This month it’s all about Determination and deciding it’s worth it to finish what you’ve started. Did you hear that Paul – formerly known as Saul – visited us last Wednesday? Boy, did we hear about some rough times…dark prisons, beatings, shipwrecks…his life was pretty doggone hard…but our kids found out that Paul learned to KEEP DOING WHAT YOU SHOULD DO EVEN IF IT’s HARD! Paul was a great example of someone who loved God and was DETERMINED to spread the Good News even when things got tough.

After Paul left us and went back to Rome last Wednesday, we talked to the kids about the fact that we probably would not have to suffer to the extent that Paul did; but, we all have hard times! Becoming a Christian doesn’t make the hard times go away, as many parents will attest to. BUT…we serve a God who loves us very much and we can trust Him no matter what; even when times are hard. So…we need to KEEP DOING WHAT WE KNOW WE SHOULD DO EVEN IF IT’S HARD…ESPECIALLY when it’s hard.

Now…just wait until you see who we are going to meet this week…does it look like rain is coming? Ask you child all about it tomorrow night!
